Hello!

Ok, the smuggler made me mad! After a week of talking and laughing & me being Smuggies* personal counselor in regards to KeKe* (the woman that he is still in love with), he asked me out to dinner and a movie, I accepted because he was taking me to see Idris Elba (who cares what the name of the movie is, it is Idris Elba!). Smuggies and I have a strong understanding that I am NOT looking for a relationship (not with him anyway, just a cool friendship) so dinner and a movie is cool.

Pre Date:

I call one of my best friends and I tell her that I haven't really been out in a while & that I am sorta excited about getting out of this house and seeing a movie & good conversation (because he still has good convo); she was excited too, no expectations or anything, just FUN.

WAITING on date confirmation (time, etc ...):

Well around 8pm, I was cool & understood that this date was NOT gonna happen, I had chilled out & waiting on Jay Z & Betty White on Saturday Night live ................

I heard nothing from him until 8:45pm ... he called, Diva answered & he did NOT mention our date. He was at work and said that his job actually called him to make a run ...... note: {he is a truck driver, hence the smuggling charge} & his re-fill spot is close to my house, I asked him " so if I asked you to come over would you?" he said "yes" ... there was silence & then he said "do you want me to come over?" and Diva said "NO" ..... lmao @ this point. .. .. .. After some idle chit chat, I ended our call ....

oh, Oh OH ............... I forgot to tell you that KeKe goes to my Mom's church ................ OMG ............ and he goes with KeKe because he LOVES her sooooooooooooo much and WANTS her back ..............

But he sent me a text message on Sunday morning and asked me if I was going to church, I told him no & he said that he was still going with KeKe ................. note: {he had already told me that @ church he would introduce me to KeKe, I told him that was ok he did not have to, but he said he did not want to appear rude to KeKe ... I understood that}.

Mind you, he is still deleted @ this point, I just know the prefix of his # ... he sent me a text and told me that I should have been @ church. Sermon was about Excess Baggage ..... Ok ................. So Smuggie called me and we talked & he told me that he told KeKe, that he was NOT going to keep begging her back or even wait on her..... But guess what?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?

He took KeKe to lunch after church to Cheddars! Was that my Saturday Dinner/Movie???? and on top of that, Smuggie asked me what I was doing, I said "on my way home" and then he said the ultimate .............................................................................................................. "I could come over to your house" (I didn't invite him, he is NOT gonna suck up MY txu air & WATCH MY cable, when KeKe got my meal {i didn't say that}... LOL) ................. he heard Utter SILENCE .... At that point I told him that I thought that not canceling our date the night before was rude & that he should WAIT to be invited to someones home....... He apologized & all was calm ....

BUT

You will NOT believe this one. I didn't.

I have been going through a drought, but this Diva landed her a nice guy with GREAT conversation (so I thought and y'all know I LOVE great convo) ..... Fast forward to the 1st conversation -> On the phone, going through my 40 questions (I don't do the 20 questions), question #3 for the Diva "Have you ever been to prison?" dudes response "yes." ....... Ok, let's hear him out ... Diva responds with a very, VERY concerned question "for what?" (I was expecting, Drugs) ... no No, NO ...

This fool was arrested for smuggling illegal aliens (Mexicans) across the border ... pause for laughter, shock and awe ... because I would've never guessed that one. So, after laughter & all that came with THAT confession we resumed with NORMAL conversation .... I come to the realization that he is really cool & I like his convo, not to mention this dude lost a bet to me & he said he would pay for my plane ticket to Miami ....

So we talked Sunday night and Monday morning ... Then Monday night we talked & he said that he was out getting a money order for a FRIEND ... cool, (I am hoping he has enough for my Miami plane ticket too) ... then he let me know that the darn money order was for his EX (of 5 months) who he is still in love with and WANTS back .... WTH?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??? In the SAME breath this brother asked me would I still cook him a dinner one day .......................... I am going to let Y'all figure the Diva's response.

Ok. I have not had a date or met anyone to date lately, I guess this is my drought. But I will say that every and I mean every man that I have met, from the Crazy who hung up on me, to the Stripper dude and George Foreman they have ALL eluded to sex like in the very 1st conversation. Now, I think I am a hot, jazzy Woman, but I don't think I exude sex or come across as a sexaholic or as someone that would just say "ooh, ok come on over Daddy" .. When I meet a man I am like a shy nerd, so dudes telling me about their "special skills" and that they need to get their tongue rings back (a guy really told me that & he was 42 years old), really does not impress me.

Anyway, I hadn't blogged in a while nor had a date, I just thought I should put something on here ...

Ok .... So I met this guy, we will call hm Minor* ... Apparently I met him a week ago, I didn't remember (oops) ............ Well, he just asked me out on a date, he said that he has to make sure that he will have some money & then he asked me if I buy food stamps (WTF) ............ I am only going on this date for blogging purposes only .... Dude looks like a mini George Foreman & I can barely understand what he is saying. Uuuuuuuuuuugh! I can't believe that I signed up for this. LOL ..

By the way, I am listening to him talk to me on the phone as I type.

So, I killed Cupid!!!!!

Well, my Valentine Day date bailed on me. I would be lying to you if I were to say that I wasn't a little taken aback by the lack of the date. It's not the fact that I didn't have the date, it's the fact that I stressed to this Man (and I use that term loosely), that I was not trying to snag a V-day date, Sunday was just the only day that I had available. I had been snowed in for 2 days & me and the ladies planned a girls night out on Saturday and I just wanted to hang. Well needless to say he showed up at girls night & so I left the girls a little early to go have dinner with him & he was STILL talking about our date on V-Day .....I again told him, well since we are hanging out tonight don't let me bombard your VDay, Dude said "oh no, no "Diva"**, I want to spend as much time with you as I can, I am excited about hanging out with you on Sunday" and in true Diva fashion, I batted these lashes, flexed my "girls" & tilted my head and said "ooooo, how sweet OK then we are still on".

Sunday morning, I wake up & get ready for Sunday brunch with the single ladies crew, I got all Diva'd up and hit the streets of downtown Dallas on All Star Weekend Sunday (you feel me) had a wonderful brunch with the girls & Dude even sent me a text saying Hello ... By days end, I sent him a text to verify date, time and location, NO RESPONSE, so then I called, NO ANSWER .... I called V & coordinated a time for she and I to meet at our favorite spot. V and I went out & we had a great time. Still I did not hear from Dude, but the Diva was cool.

...........fast forward to Fat Tuesday

I was enjoying a Fat Tuesday Happy Hour with some friends and I noticed that I had a missed call from Dude, after I leave Papadeaux and headed to my next spot to collect some more beads for "Mardi Gras" I return his call & no answer ... I let it ride .... I called him today and he answered ............

Wooo Whooo!!!!!!!!!!! I have been snowed in for 2 days, 2 DAYS!!!! I am headed to Gloria's for a little Margarita lunch with my friend. I can't wait to get out of here.

Guess who has a Valentines Day date? It was sooooooo not in my plans to celebrate or even acknowledge this damned made up holiday!!!!!! (hope I didn't sound bitter).... Oh, oh, oh, I have met another fella, so let's see what happens with that. This dude likes to crack jokes, so I will call him The Comedian (for now) .... his 1st message to me was "you are hotter than a Mexican lunch plate" ....REALLY it was. I met him on Black Planet, it wont be long before he graduates to Strange too (I am almost sure of it) ....

This dude just keeps getting strange by the minute. I have a feeling that somebody is going to tell me to take one for the team, for their entertainment. We will see.

Ok, the Gentleman that I met................ STRANGE (MORE TO COME)

I hung out with my domesticated Best Friend yesterday & she has been trying to get me married since I turned 21 (LOL) .... she said she is going to send EVERY man that she meets my way .. (gotta love her) ........... So this is going to be a blast!

Back to the Gentleman, so he didn't call for a couple of days & that's OK, right? I decided to delete his number from my cell, because when I have "cocktail events" at my house, I will call ANYBODY .. well, he called me last night! (I'm sorry, THIS MORNING) at 1:46AM (I missed the call, because I was SLEEP) ... We ended up talking after I got off of work, Gentleman is now known as Strange ...But for my friends, I am going to entertain him & possibly go out on a date with him just to give y'all Laughs and giggles :-) .

Let's see, he bought me a drink, entertained me with good conversation, heck he even bought be me some Cracklins (lol .. my Kliff buddies will know what those are) & he was a perfect gentleman. A date, uhh, sorta

Ok, so I have been 'seeing' (and I use that term loosely) this guy for about a week, we have met for a couple of drinks and he took me to dinner, Taco Cabana (and he has never been there before). Chemistry was so, so & conversation ... well ..... we talked. The date ended with a nice, hot kiss & a call to make sure that I made it home alright (I love it when a man calls me himself, instead of asking me to call him when I get home, just shows he has some interest).

Because I am a single woman I am not ready just to invite every, Tom, Dick, Harry, Ray Ray & Pookie & 'nem over, so I have not invited this male companion over, besides it just been about a wk 1/2. So, on my way home from work the other day, he called & said he was hanging out with some friends and would like to see me, so I agreed that I would stop by for a quick little hello & a hug (besides, I was looking hot that day at work, ask the guy from across the hall in my office building .. LOL), so he is telling me what part of town he was in & we were making arrangements for me to get there & then he said "say baby, my truck is in the shop & they might call me to come get it, so I might leave the spot where I am" ... my reply was "okaaaaay, soooo, what do you want me to do?" he then said, "well if you go home are you getting back out?" Diva replied, "no" (in the sweetest way possible) & then dude says, "can I come see you" ... still responding sweetly, the diva says "no" ... and then it happened ..... he said "oh, oh, you hurt my feelings, did you tell me no??? " in between his rants and raves, I was looking at my phone saying my favorite "ARE YOU SERIOUS?" and then he hung up on me ... What!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?

The old me, would have called him and gone straight off on him, but then I said, add him to your blog! I looked at the CALL ENDED on my phone & as soon as traffic stopped on I75, I deleted his number from my phone. I wish a brother WOULD call me again .... But if he does, I will blog about it ...
